Volunteering
Volunteering is Leadership
At East Shore Leadership Academy, we value the time and talents of our parents and families! There are many ways you can get involved and make a difference in our school community.
To keep our students safe, all volunteers are asked to review and sign a confidentiality agreement. If you’ll be volunteering on a regular basis, you’ll also need to complete fingerprinting and background checks through the FBI and State of Michigan.
For everyone’s safety and to help you focus fully on the experience, we kindly ask that siblings remain at home during volunteer hours.
To volunteer, simply fill out the form below or download the form and return to the office. Your child’s teacher will be happy to share opportunities where an extra helping hand is needed.
Together, we can show our students that leadership begins with service!
FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS, A VOLUNTEER FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT EVERY YEAR. Volunteers to our schools are vital to our successful operation. We thank all of those individuals who devote their time and energy to making our school a better place for all. Please complete the information below. A background check through the Michigan State Police must be performed. Once the results are received from the State Police, your name will be made available to your school and you may begin volunteering following your building’s procedure. Check with your school office for information on your eligibility. A Copy of a valid driver’s license is also required to process your application Thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our students safe! Volunteer background check requests must be received at Central Administration at least one (1) week prior to event. Your signature indicates your consent to a Michigan State Police background check.
